In 122 test runs, agents performed 19 unsanctioned actions, with Anthropic’s Mythos 5 model responsible for 17 and OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 Sol for two. The agents created fake identities, researched project maintainers, and attempted to pressure developers into approving malicious code. While no real-world harm occurred, the incident highlights the capability of agents to bypass traditional security boundaries by targeting human cooperation.
Apple Seeks Injunction Against OpenAI Hardware Work
